Higher level protection ideas

weaponbane Any attack against you does  equal damage to the WEAPON that hit you, not the wielder.  In essence, you get protection by making all their weapons unusable.
backlash Any magical energy directed against you (or % thereof, or % chance to do so) reflects back on the caster.
bladeshield You are surrounded by a whirlwind of magical blades. Any creature attacking you faces the attacks of these blades.
Just a few ideas to make protection a bit more appealing.
