In general, everything you type on the mud is a command. However, when
people refer to 'your commands' they usually are talking about commands
that are specific to your class. Often, these are also called 'specials.'
Each class has a set of class commands. These commands are what give
your character special abilities learnable only by members of your
class. To be effective at fighting, you will need to use these special
commands.
There are non-player characters in your class hall, and sometimes
scattered about the realm as well, who can teach your character
commands. There is one main teacher in your Kieron class hall who
teaches the first command for each skill. If you can find any person
standing in your class hall, look at them. If it is a teacher, the
description should provide you with more instructions about learning
the commands. Or, you can ask on your class line if you aren't sure
how to find them or learn the commands.
Once you have learned one, you should read its help file to see what
it does. You do this by typing <help [command]>. That will give you a
line with the syntax, telling you how to use the command, and a
description of what the command does. It will also show you the rank
and how much it costs.
