HelpPlayer General • Ships

Ships can be bought from a town shipwright, additional options can be bought from the shipwright if he sells them or from dock hands or related stores. You must hire at least one crewman to sail a ship. 
 
Sloop 
This a small sailboat with fore-and-aft rigged sails on a single mast. This ship also has very little cargo room.  
 
Options: 
  Max crew of 3 
  Can carry up to 2 people per room, and 1 in the crow's nest 
  Supports adding a logbook 
 
Cutter 
This is a medium sized sailboat. There is one large mast which supports several sails, and a bowsprit off the bow. This ship also has little cargo room.      
 
Options: 
  Max crew of 10 
  Can carry up to 4 people per room, and 1 in the crow's nest 
  Can buy an additional sail for increased speed 
  Supports adding a chest, logbook or additional maps 
 
Schooner 
This is a large sailing ship. The hull is long and narrow and has two large masts that support multiple sails. This ship was designed for shallow water running, speed, and manuverability. This ship also has moderate cargo room.  
 
Options: 
  Max crew of 15 
  Can carry up to 4 people people per room, and 1 in the crow's nest 
  Can buy additional sails for increased speed 
  Supports adding a chest, logbook or additional maps 
 
Galleon 
This is a large sailing ship. The hull of this three-masted ship is very large and designed for carrying cargo. This ship also has Most cargo room.      
 
Options: 
  Max crew of 50 
  Can carry up to 5 people per room, and 1 in the crow's nest 
  Can buy additional sails for increased speed 
  Supports adding a chest, logbook or additional maps 
 
Warning: Leaving non autoloading storage on ships may cause items to be washed overboard and end up on a random island. 
Warning: Leaving corpses to decay may cause items to be washed overboard and end up on a random island.
