[01-06 21:38][Chat]Icewolfz: based on the clib on the os
[01-06 21:38][Chat]Icewolfz: its and older server setup so it is more limited then newer better randoms
[01-06 21:38][Chat]Roku: yeah but to get this version of mudos to compile on the server we disabled the double int.. bc it would crash when trying to run bc the virtual host wasn't exposing 64 bit
[01-06 21:38][Chat]Icewolfz: this verison of mudos will never have a diff random
[01-06 21:39][Chat]Icewolfz: has nothign to do with int
[01-06 21:39][Chat]Icewolfz: the code it self only uses standard lib random
[01-06 21:39][Chat]Icewolfz: and you cna use 64 bit
[01-06 21:39][Chat]Icewolfz: just takes more memory
[01-06 21:39][Chat]Roku: back then we even ran commands to show it was an ancient xeon that didn't have x64-86 capability, but did have x64 that was itanium compatible
[01-06 21:39][Chat]Icewolfz: 32bit os suports 64bit #s
[01-06 21:40][Chat]Icewolfz: it just takes more memory and more cpu
[01-06 21:40][Chat]Roku: we fixed the memory issues by paying more :)
[01-06 21:40][Chat]Icewolfz: which is why i never tried my custom fluffos that was 64bit int
[01-06 21:40][Chat]Icewolfz: wasnt worth double the memory as most #s didnt need the 64bit range
[01-06 21:41][Chat]Icewolfz: plus it would also bump cpu as it would require more registers to do the math
[01-06 21:41][Chat]Icewolfz: i still have th code backedup
[01-06 21:41][Chat]Roku: very true, all of these 1 and 4 bit things using 8 bit int is efficient, but given the power of todays cpu.. stupid to sacrifice dropping them into at least 32 bit buckets with 64 bit true random.
[01-06 21:41][Chat]Icewolfz: granted it owuld have ot be tested to be used as not sure if i got everything right
[01-06 21:41][Chat]Icewolfz: doenst matte rabout todays cpus it depends on the host cpu which is limited
[01-06 21:42][Chat]Icewolfz: its a32bit host designed for older software
